We’re excited to share the location of this year’s Summit: The Conrad Los Angeles! Just one block away from JFB and right across the street from the Disney Concert Hall, walk on over and enjoy the beautiful space designed to inspire our leadership journey together. The Conrad boasts of impressive architecture by the legendary Frank Gehry and offers beautiful views of City Hall and the rest of downtown L.A.

The Summit will be held at the Grand Park Ballroom on the 8th Floor. All are encouraged to park at JFB and walk over to 100 S. Grand Avenue.

Summit Emcee: Alex Cohen

This year’s Women’s Leadership Summit will be extra dynamic and engaging with Spectrum One News’ Alex Cohen as event emcee and panel moderator. The political anchor serves as the host of the weekly podcast “Inside the Issues.” Prior to her work in television, Alex was the host of “Morning Edition” and “Take Two” at KPCC-LAist and worked as a reporter and host at NPR’s “Day to Day.”

In addition to her career in journalism, Alex spent many years playing roller derby as Axles of Evil with the L.A. Derby Dolls. She’s co-author of the book “Down & Derby: the Insider’s Guide to Roller Derby” and served as choreographer and trainer on the 2008 Drew Barrymore film “Whip It!”

She has empowered 10,000+ of individuals and teams to develop conscious leaders and inclusive workplaces by enhancing their awareness and identifying blind spots that hinder their leadership potential. With a multicultural sensitivity and a diverse background spanning science, business, and the arts, she brings a unique perspective to her practice. She’s also a professional speaker, known for her compelling TedX Talk Redefining Success: The Mindful Shift from Me to We. She has also shared her expertise with leaders from companies such as the FBI, NASA, and Warner.
